1. October 24, 2019 : INAE Kharagpur Chapter organized a one-day Workshop on “Research in Steel Technology” on October 24, 2019 at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. Prof. Hans-Jörg Fecht, Chair Professor and Director “Institute of Micro and Nanomaterials” at Ulm University and Dr. Debashish Bhattacharjee, Vice President, Technology and New Materials, Tata Steel were the Guest Speakers at the workshop.

2. January 22, 2026 : Meeting organized to honour Professor Indranil Manna, Immediate former President, INAE and  Former Professor, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering Department, I.I.T. Kharagpur; currently serving as the Vice Chancellor of the BIT Mesra, Ranchi (on lien), on his superannuation from IIT Kharagpur.  Besides this other important discussions were held on priorities, focus areas, future Chapter activities including contributions to CEEE Program held on the sidelines of International Conference on “Frontiers of Surface Engineering and Additive Manufacturing (FSEAM)”.
