The Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE), the only Engineering Academy in the country and a premier body of the top engineering professionals drawn from industry, academia, and R&D organizations is inviting Personnels engaged in the areas of Engineering and Technology (E&T) to enrol and associate with INAE as Individual Members.
Why Associate with INAE?
- Comprises of India’s most distinguished engineering professionals from academia, industry, R&D organizations, and strategic sectors covering the entire spectrum of engineering disciplines.
- Founded with an objective to provide leadership in creating appropriate policy for the national benefit & professional interest, launching new initiatives, forecasting futuristic technologies, realizing advanced engineering practices, guiding engineering education and training, and mentoring engineering institutions and industry.
- INAE also has the mandate to identify and pursue the engineering challenges of national importance and try to find engineering solutions; to provide vital engineering and technological inputs to the planning for the country’s development; to function as a forum for futuristic planning for the country’s development and to promote engineering and technology in the country.
Please Note: To have a wider reach and participation of engineering community, new streams of membership of INAE have been incorporated recently. The fellowship continues to be there as a flagship recognition to the Notable Engineers who are nominated and elected by a three-tier process.

Criteria for enrolling as Individual Members of INAE

| Eligibility of the applicant | ||
| (i) Students enrolled in 1st Engineering degree in UGC/AICTE/ MoE-approved engineering degree courses/ or PhD from Engg dept. | (i) Working professionals in engineering in the industry, R&D or academic institutions, engineering services, entrepreneurship firms, and government/private agencies. | (i) Working professionals in engineering in the industry, R&D or academic institutions, engineering services, entrepreneurship firms, and government/private agencies |
| (ii) Students pursuing BTech or equivalent 4-year UGC/AICTE/MoE-approved UG engineering degree courses, or | (ii) Eligible to enrol within 5 years from acquiring 1st degree in Engineering or transit from Junior Member, or | (ii) Must have 10 years’ experience after acquiring 1st degree in Engineering or transit from Associate Member |
| (iii) MTech or equivalent 2-year UGC/AICTE approved PG engineering degree courses, or | (iii) Post-doctoral research fellows (with at least one degree from engineering domain at UG/PG/PhD level) | |
