A joint patent on an infrared suppression system to evade incoming IR missiles is used in 48 naval ships, with a total of 160 devices and a worth of 1000 Cr.
Chief Designer and programme director of Indigenous Cochlear Implant Prostheses were implanted in a person at CMC, Vellore, on 24 January 2020 and worked for 4 years 5 months, not only proving the concept, but demonstrating India's technological progress. Took 15 years. This was done outside the call of official duties. Project Funded by SBMT.
Founder President of the Condition Monitoring Society of India (CMSI) in 2003, a professional society and forerunner of Industry 4.0. Nearly 10000 youth engineers trained on Predictive maintenance and Asset management.
Established SIGN CARE, an interpreter-enabled telemedicine centre for deaf people at KFRC jointly with Deaf Enabled Foundation. First time in India and is being used nationwide. Nearly 2500 families used in the last 3 years.
Designed and developed 'Dhriisti', AI-based smart glasses for the blind, with Achala IT solution as production partner. Distributed 950 glasses free of charge to people who could not afford them. 1000 more glasses are under manufacture. This assistive device helps improve the quality of life for the blind.
Developed an instrumentation system to non-contactively quantify dissolved CO₂, O₂, pH, temperature and organ weight during perfusion of the donor lung, allowing the surgeon to quantitatively assess its fitness for transplantation. First time such a facility is established in KIMS Hospital, Secunderabad.
