We have erected a pilot-scale gas-fired Rotary Hearth Furnace at an Industrial site, ASP, Durgapur, and demonstrated producing 85% metallized sponge iron from iron ore and coal fines of Indian origin.
The author was the prime architect for developing an indigenous numerical code for a three-dimensional framework of fusion welding, providing the scientific insight of the welding processes in collaboration with the Pennsylvania State University.
